Dynex requires technical plating to the highest standards to ensure lifetime reliability of power electronics equipment where penalties apply for system downtime.
Versarien is a new materials company which listed on AIM in June 2013 to exploit its copper foam technology for thermal management applications. AMT and Versarien have a close relationship as AMT has invited Versarien into collaborative Projects – one with Dynex Semiconductor for development of a high performance power electronics module and another with group member Total Carbides for the SHIPSHAPE project.
TWI is a UK materials and engineering technology heavyweight,with headquarters in Cambridge. TWI initially worked with AMT on the PORPARDET project and was impressed by its technical expertise and commitment to delivering a working solution to a complex problem. TWI is also AMTs preferred partner for the medical BabyLight project and also the proposed follow on EU funded project.
Based at the Knaresborough Technology Park, GSPK Design has been working with clients throughout the UK offering electronic design and manufacture for over 10 years. GSPK partners AMT with electronics design and build. The MD Paul Marsh is winner of Yorkshire and Humber Region Young Enterprise Gold Award and shares Iain’s love of scuba diving.
TBAT Innovation is a business consultancy based in the East Midlands AMT has worked with TBAT for assistance on accessing grant funds through a number of awarding bodies including the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) and their Smart and collaborative R&D grant programmes. The key market sectors addressed by TBAT include; transport, energy, health, advanced engineering, renewables, aerospace and oil & gas, which mirrors the range of interests at AMT.
The Technology Strategy Board (TSB) is the UK’s innovation Agency, offering support and funding to help business develop new products and services and bring them closer to market. TSB funding for three projects has been enormously important for the development of AMT and this is gratefully acknowledged.
AMT has been developing strong links with the University of Lincoln and makes available its facilities to support projects and training activities. Lincoln University administers the Lincoln Growth Fund which is supporting the setup of CVE.
